“Hit A Deer, Win Gas For A Year” was the theme for TNT’s advertising and promotion this past year, where every customer who came in for a vehicle repair from November 1, 2014 through November 2, 2015, was entered in to a drawing to win a $2,000 gas gift card. You may have seen their mascot, “O” (as in “O Deer!”) around town at community events, or even appearing on Cable 12. It was TNT’s way of trying to put a silver lining around their customers’ otherwise dreary situations.
As many of you know, vehicle repair is not necessarily a pleasant experience, and can be very traumatic, time consuming, and financially stressful, to name a few of the issues associated with vehicle accidents. Being able to tell customers that you were sorry they needed repairs, but they were now entered in to a $2,000 drawing to cover their gas for an entire year, seemed to bring a smile and hopeful look to many faces that came through their doors. Giving a Lifetime Warranty on repairs and excelling in Customer Service and Insurance Claim Handling just further eased each situation as well.
Well, the contest has come to an end, and the names have been collected and placed in a special drawing. The winner will be announced at “Come Home to a Franklin County Christmas” held on Friday, December 4 from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. This year will bring an exciting shuttle addition, where TNT will be able to offer rides on the Cool Bus from Ply Gem parking lot through several shuttle stops on the route for the evening. Our hope is that guests can tour the entire Downtown area with greater ease if a shuttle service is provided throughout the night.
Come early to watch “O” ride through Downtown Rocky Mount in the Biggest Little Parade that ends with the Annual Tree Lighting, and hear the lucky winner’s name be announced there as well as on B99, who will be broadcasting live that night through the event.
